To sign up for any trip, blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number (make sure you have money in your account!) or saying you'd like to pay in cash. Your spot will be reserved once you pay. If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot.

THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY

What: a pleasant evening stroll up Balch Hill
When: Thursday evening, leaving from behind Robo at 7, back by 9 at the latest
Leaders: Adam Schneider and Anna Knowles
Why: Because the weather is lovely, so is Balch Hill, and you know that you want to get outdoors this week (even if it's just for a little bit). The hike is very mild, and we'll be leaving from campus on foot. With a bit of luck we will get a nice sunset as well.
Cost: Free for everyone! (no food will be provided)
Blitz: "chefanna" with a heads up that you want to come! (by Thursday morning)

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

What: Ritchie Smith overnight and Mt. Adams hike
When: Friday evening-Saturday night
Why: because hiking in adverse conditions is badass!
Come stay in Ritchie Smith cabin Friday night and hike Mt. Adams the following day. We will hike up a 10 mile trail and climb 4400 vertical feet to get to the 5774' summit of Mt. Adams. Time permitting, we will make a stop at the Gray Knob shelter on the descent so you can hear stories about Patagonia with myself and a friend of mine who is the caretaker of the shelter. NB: this hike will be challenging. Conditions will not be ideal, and it will be a long day.
Cost: $10 DOC, $20 non DOC
Blitz: Ben Bauer for more info or to sign up.

What: Overnight @ Richie Smith + Franconia Ridge
When: 7 pm Friday - before 6 pm Saturday
Leaders: Katie Yu and Georgi Klissurski
Why: Katie's Heeler overnight and a 'best of' tour of Franc Ridge!
A lovely night at Richie Smith Cabin followed a delightful day of hiking. The following morning, we'll make our way up Lafayette, Little Haystack, and Lincoln in a thoroughly enjoyable eight mile loop.
Cost: Only $1 for DOC members! And TBA for non-DOC members.
Blitz: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> to sign up or get more info!

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

What: First-Year Family Hike to Balch Hill!
When 10am-11am
Leaders: Paige Wilson, Jamie Mercado, Max Deibel
Are you a '16 with family coming up this weekend, a Balch Hill enthusiast, or just really stoked to hang out with some parents for an hour? If so, come on this short hike/walk to Balch Hill! We'll be meeting on the Robo lawn at 10am - no sign-up necessary.
Cost: Free!

What: Mt. Ascutney Hike
When: 9am-4pm Sunday
Leaders: Julia Hudnut-Beumler and Will Hickman
Why: Beautiful views and great weather
This 7 mile round-trip hike has a 50 foot tower at the summit and a 360 degree view that is one of the best, if not the best, in Vermont. The weather looks to be excellent (50-60 degrees on the summit!) and we hope to have lunch at the tower, then hike down and get back to campus by the mid-afternoon.
Cost: $3 DOC/$6 non-DOC
Blitz: Will Hickman to sign up or get more info!

Caving Adventure!!!
When: Sunday 8am-4pm
Leaders: Jocelyn Powelson, Jonathan King
Why: Because who really needs the sun...
Cost: $6 for DOC members
An underground adventure in Morris Cave in Rutland Vermont. Be prepared for epic journey through twisting passages far below the sunlit lands. Not for the faint of heart...
