A spectacular aggregation of spring migrants was present in mid-late  
morning today at Kendall Station Road in Norwich, VT, with numerous  
birds of more than 30 species, including a Green Heron, a singing  
Brown Thrasher, and 2 Rusty Blackbirds. Species with numerous  
individuals were Tree and Barn Swallows (30 of the latter counted  
while perched in just one tree with others elsewhere nearby), Ruby- 
crowned Kinglets, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Red-winged Blackbirds, and  
Common Grackles. Among other species present were 2 Hooded Mergansers,  
2 Common Mergansers, a Great Blue Heron, a Belted Kingfisher, at least  
2 Rough-winged Swallows, at least a few Palm Warblers, and an American  
Tree Sparrow.
