This is a reminder that the Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon
is to hold a bird walk from 7:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday August 18,
2012. Participants are to meet for carpooling at 7:00 AM in the
commuter parking lot by the Ledyard Bridge; the entrance to that lot
is off River Road in Norwich. This bird walk is free and open to the
public. Waterproof foot gear is recommended for possible shallow water
in uneven terrain. Bring binoculars and scopes if available.
Coverage in this bird walk, to be led by George Clark, is to be
limited to the towns of Norwich and possibly Hartford, both in
Vermont. We'll be particularly seeking "fall" migrants. This trip will
likely emphasize primarily either sites near the Connecticut River or
sites in the vicinity of Tucker Hill Road in Norwich. A decision on
which areas are to be covered is to be made closer to the time of this
bird walk and will be based on updated reports from those areas.
