Hello!

I am new to the list, but a dip into the archives didn't return any info on
the topic of recommended devices for simultaneously syncing and charging
multiple iOS devices. My office/lab is responsible for the preparation and
distribution of approx. 100 iPods (classic & touch) and iPads each semester
- mainly for foreign language students and faculty - and we are in need of
a way to streamline the process.

I am currently looking at 4 sync/charge stations, and would be grateful for
input - either regarding alternatives I have missed (very possible, given
the lack of a standardized term) or for user experience with the ones I'm
looking at, which are:

1. Griffin MultiDock $699 msrp Sync and charge 10 iOS devices
simultaneously. Lock bar prevents tampering. Two additional units can be
connected to main one to increased capacity.

2. Bretford PowerSync Tray for iPad $999 (Apple store) Charge,
sync, store, and secure up to 10 iOS devices. Syncs to Apple computer.

3. PARASYNC Charging and Synchronization Dock Website indicates call for
price. Charge and synchronize content to 20 iPod and iPhone devices. Does
not support mixing of iPod models. Site recommends buying special support
insert for each model.

4. SC15 Compact Sync/Charge Docking Station. Call for price. Similar to #3,
but accommodates 15 iPods.

The last two are apparently not compatible with iPads, which we could
continue to do individually if the price difference is substantial.

Thanks in advance for reading and responding!
