This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Tuesday, July 17th, 
2012.



A SEDGE WREN was seen on private property in North Sandwich on July 16th and 
17th.



4 STILT SANDPIPERS, 225 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, 100 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 75 
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, 20 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and 20 LESSER YELLOWLEGS 
were seen in Meadow Pond in Hampton on July 14th.



3 LEAST TERNS, 2 GREAT CORMORANTS, 263 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and a 
SANDERLING were seen migrating along the coast on July 14th.



A LAUGHING GULL, a WHIMBREL, and an unidentified GODWIT were seen in Hampton 
Harbor on July 14th.



11 LEAST SANDPIPERS, and 4 GREEN HERONS were seen along the Merrimack River 
in the Concord area on July 14th.



15 BLACK SCOTERS were reported from coastal Rye on July 14th.



An immature BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen on Powder Mill Pond in 
Hancock on July 17th.



A RUSTY BLACKBIRD was seen on the shore of Second Connecticut Lake in 
Pittsburg on July 12th.



A GRAY JAY, a BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER, 2 MERLINS, and a NORTHERN GOSHAWK 
were reported from the Lake Umbagog area on July 14th.



A MERLIN was reported from Lebanon on July 13th.



A VESPER SPARROW was reported from Boscawen on July 14th.



3 DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS were seen along the Androscoggin River in Berlin 
and Gorham on July 14th.



A colony of 40 BANK SWALLOWS was seen along the Merrimack River in the 
Concord area on July 14th.
