If you have the $$$ to spend Adobe Acrobat Professional lets Word 2007 (at least in our case here at NEIU) import the documents. However, the text objects, especially tables or columns, become vector graphical text boxes rather than plain text much like as in PowerPoint and you have to edit each box if there are any recognition errors.
