Dear Dinertoure,

Congratulations! An ubercommittee with representatives from GLOS, SPEC, UFC, COSO, OPAL, CGB, DDS, and CWG has decided that you win 2012's Best Club at Dartmouth Award. Usually we just give it to "The Ol' Boys" and call it a day, but this year we wanted to go with our gu

t. As part of your prize, you win a million dollars (it has to be spent in a week, and it's only valid on novack calzones) and your van's glove compartment will be filled with popcorn shrimp. The Best Club at Dartmouth Award is a great honor. It separates your club from other clubs with their other awards, and it gives meaning to your existence. Treasure it!

Yours,

The Everything Gets Owards (EGO) Office, Parkhurst Hall.

Spelunkadunking in Merlin's Cave!
Where: Merlin's Cave, NY
Time: TBD (likely Saturday early morning to Saturday night)
Cost: $8 DOC, $12 other
Description: Merlin's Cave contains a number of waterfalls and unique geoligical features. Neither Devin nor I have been there, but we will be going with an experienced caver from the Vermont Cavers' Association. It is supposedly a pretty difficult cave, so there will be a lot of crawling and it will be pretty tiring. If you are claustrophobic, this might not be the activity for you, as caving in the Northeast usually involves crawling through a lot of tight, small spaces. But it should be lots of fun!
Blitz: Jocelyn Powelson with your dash number and any dietary restrictions

and here's some Wendell Berry :]

I go among trees and sit still.

All my stirring becomes quiet

around me like circles on water.

My tasks lie in their places

where I left them, asleep like cattle.

Then what is afraid of me comes

and lives a while in my sight.

What it fears in me leaves me,

and the fear of me leaves it.

It sings, and I hear its song.

Then what I am afraid of comes.

I live for a while in its sight.

What I fear in it leaves it,

and the fear of it leaves me.

It sings, and I hear its song.

After days of labor,

mute in my consternations,

I hear my song at last,

and I sing it. As we sing,

the day turns, the trees move.
