Hello all,

My previous position managing Case's online language lab and providing
instructional design support to our language faculty has not yet been
filled (long story). One of the Deans and CIO from the College of Arts
and Sciences asked to meet with me today to find out what kinds of
skills they need to look for when hiring a new person.

I told them there is a whole group of people trained in language
pedagogy and instructional design (this group!). They asked me if
there are any job boards that people regularly check for these
positions. I know that universities sometime post jobs through this
listserv. I've also seen positions posted in Higheredjobs.com and the
Chronicle. I wanted to send this question to the group and see if you
could provide some additional ideas.

Also, in our conversation, I discussed the trend toward having
language students create ePortfolios. If you have students using
ePortfolios, can you please post which system you're using, and
whether it is being used exclusively by language students or by other
students at your institution as well.

Thank you all!
Tina
