building a platform on Hadoop grid that provides its customers the data and
the infrastructure to build models to understand users.****

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the technical leadership team of
a world-class engineering team focused on creating cutting edge platform at
an unprecedented scale.  You will be working as a Principal Software
Engineer designing & implementing platforms and its components, selecting
appropriate technologies, and leading other developers.  The ideal
candidate must be a self motivated, energetic leader with a strong
background in designing and building complex data processing systems
dealing with terabytes of data every day.****

Minimum Job Qualifications:****

* 8+ years of software development experience****
* Fluency in Java/C++ programming on Linux platform using Oracle/MySQL database****
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills****
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills****
* Verifiable track record of bringing systems from inception to implementation****
* Extensive experience with object-oriented design and development techniques****
* Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques****
* Advocate for software engineering best practices, including testing, release management, configuration management, and project planning****
* Self-starter and good team player, flexible to work with counterparts in other countries****
* BS in Computer Science****

Preferred Job Qualifications:****

* MS or PhD in Computer Science or related fields****
* Experience with grid computing technology and Hadoop, Pig/Map Reduce programming****
* Experience with scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, Python****
* Experience with ETL processes, large data management & operational data stores****
