I birded the Conn. River from Wilder Dam to Pompy and Campbell Flats
this afternoon. Again, very quiet, except for a nice gathering of
water- and landbirds from Kendall Station Road. I checked the fields
around Farrell Farms, Hogback Road, and Bradley Hill Rd, hoping for a
Snowy Owl, Rough-legged Hawk, N. Shrike, pipits, longspurs, or
buntings. None to be found, not even a Red-tail, but it was a great
afternoon to be out.

_Kendall Station Road_:

American Black Duck 4
Mallard 16
Hooded Merganser 7
Common Merganser 1
Common Loon 1 non-breeding plumage, but too distant to determine age
American Crow 3
Black-capped Chickadee 8
American Tree Sparrow 5
Dark-eyed Junco 2
American Goldfinch 8
