Subject: Walkaround / Apache Wave since Google Wave
Date: November 23, 2011 9:23:36 AM EST

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!

I am wondering if anyone is working with Walkaround or Apache Wave since Google announced the demise of Google Wave? I have been watching for a good replacement platform for Wave since the announcement because faculty response to Wave when it first was introduced was very positive. We even had one faculty member make use of Wave for a distance course in translation and both faculty and student response to the platform was extremely positive. Until now, faculty have been using Google docs to the degree to which that program allows, but it doesn't have the app layer that Wave had which made it such a multi-functional tool.

Of course, it is hard to truly test a "Wave" product without some collaborators. If you are interested in testing these with me, please let me know.

Regards,
Deanne
