Subject: Fwd: #9732.3 resources for Modern Hebrew
Date: November 21, 2011 12:46:51 PM EST

Our Hebrew instructor recommends these resources:

English Hebrew Dictionary by Subject: Topic Dictionary for Learning and Reference. Hanna G. Perez.
ISBN 978-9-6590685-1-7. Joel Yaron Publishing, Tel Aviv, 2009.

Brandeis Modern Hebrew - easy to find info. on internet

Modern Hebrew for Beginners/ Intermediate Students. Esther Raizen. U of Texas Press. Has links to a website where vocabulary and practice drills extend learning beyond the book. The books themselves are not the easiest to use in classroom teaching. They are particularly well suited to independent language study.
