Get outside!
Enjoy the New England fall colors!
Join a CnT outing this week: hike, eat, relax, and be merry!

Blitz the trip leader with your DID to be officially signed up.

WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY

Dinertoure:
Polka Dot Diner, White River Junction, VT
Leave at 6:50 AM from the Back of Robo
RSVP to [log in to unmask]

Can we come back after death? The Polka Dot Diner screams
yes. Once
talked about in diner-lore as part of a different age, the
PDD has
been reborn. The maple spring tap has regained its flow, the
french
toast has stopped sniping about Algeria, and some folks say
that if
you put your ear up to one of the 848 dots lining the walls,
you can
hear conversation snippets from the late 1980's. Now, when
it comes
to people, I've always believed that our lives are as
cyclical as
polka dots themselves. Each day we wake up a new person with
a fresh
shot. Start your new life off right with Dinertoure this
week--the
ride is free, bring small bills.

WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY

CnT FEED
6:30 pm at The Rock (16 Sargent St.)
Delicious food with good company!
Bring $4 Da$h or cash
Blitz Alison Helzer for directions or to help!

THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY!

Gile Sunrike!

Come for a refreshing sunrise hike on Gile Thursday Morning.
Sunrise is later, so you can sleep a bit more and we will be
back for your 9L. Theme suggestions have been the colors of
the sun and/or hunting. DOC:Free/nonDOC:$2. Blitz Lorin
Paley if you want to join!

THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY!

Armington Cabin Overnight!

Let's face it, people, Thursday nights on campus are lame!
Since there's nothing happening here, why not come hang out
at Armington Cabin for the first heeler overnight of the
term instead? If you decide to come, you'll leave campus at
6pm on Thursday, cook (and eat!) a delicious dinner and
sleep in the warm and cosy Armington Cabin for the night,
and then (optionally) wake up super-early to hike the 1.5
miles or so up Mt. Piermont on the opposite to watch the Sun
rise from behind Moosilauke! Following a sumptuous
breakfast, you'll be back on campus in time for your 9L!
Sound like a plan?
And if that wasn't awesome enough, since it's a heeler
overnight, it's all for $1! (and everything you can find at
the Dollar store is crappy anyway)... Sound like a plan?

Blitz Vipul Kakkad / Jesse Rieb to ask questions, or sign up!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

Orienteering ft. Lodge-O-Ween
Depart: Friday 4:30 Return: Saturday 1:00
Cost: $21 DOC member, $24 non-member. This includes Lodge
dinner, overnight, and breakfast
Difficulty: Very accessible. Total beginners are welcome.
Hiking may take us off trail a bit, but won?t be too fast or
too far.
Skills AND thrills! We will head up to the Lodge a bit
before dinner and go over the basics of finding your way
around with a map and compass. After dinner, there will be
entertainment and music/dancing at the famous Lodge
Halloween party. In the morning, we will fortify ourselves
with delicious Lodge breakfast before embarking on an
orienteering adventure. Erin has promised that we will use
map and compass to find some sweet Easter eggs on
Moosilauke. Heelers: this fulfills a requirement for your
wilderness cert. But you should come for a fun new way of
experiencing the outdoors even if you aren?t a heeler.

Blitz Samuel Kernan with your DID# to sign up. Please sign
up promptly so we can make the Lodge reservations.

Bring a costume and a can-do attitude, we provide the compass!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

Lodj-o-ween Bus
Description: Take a ride on a spooky old microbus and
celebrate an early Halloween at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge.
Rumour goes that Rosemary Shay will be having her demented
baby, there'll be dinnertainment and dancing, and a chance
most of us will make it out alive. Dress appropriately.
When: Leaving 5:45 behind Robo, returning after breakfast
next morning
Cost: ride is free, $8 for dinner, $5 if you're staying
overnight and $6 for breakfast
Blitz Billy Zou to reserve your spot (NOTE: Unfortunately,
because of the amount of interest in Hallodgeween, you need
to *already have a spot reserved for dinner* to take
advantage of the bus ... unless you've already worked this
out personally with Billy)

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY

What: Mt. Hunger Trifecta
When: ~9am to 7pm
Cost: $6 plus some small bills for the tour and munchies
Description: A classic, like grilled cheese or onesies after
dinner. Come hike Mt. Hunger (about 3.8 miles to the top),
get some cool views and some good excercise so you can
indulge in CABOT cheese, BEN AND JERRY'S ice cream, and Cold
Hollow CIDER on the trip home. All in the beautiful
Waterbury, VT. We'll go for a tour of the B+J factory, eat
some good food and samples, and get home in time to eat your
purchased cheese and ice cream for dinner. Mmmm dairy.
Blitz: Paige Wilson or paigey to sign up with your DA$H

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

great views and
company!

strenuous hike with
a Diner Dinner so bring some extra cash as well.
