A brief trip this morning through the Chaffee Wildlife Sanctuary and areas adjacent to Post Pond turned up 27 wood ducks on Little Post Pond and its outflow Clay Brook. Next door on Post Pond were three common loons. Also observed: 

ring-necked duck - 1
mallard -2 

pileated woodpecker - 1
downy woodpecker - 1
northern flicker - 2
blue jay - 3
american crow - 2
common raven - 1
belted kingfisher - 1
northern cardinal - 2
song sparrow - 7
white-throated sparrow -
