Catherine Greenleaf of the St. Francis Wild Bird Hospital in Lyme called this afternoon to say a live, white-tailed tropic bird was found yesterday on a front lawn in Claremont, NH. A volunteer went to Claremont and brought it to Lyme. The bird died today. I went over and confirmed that it is a white-tailed tropic bird. Catherine took pictures of it while it was still living.

What is the state record history with this species?

If anyone in the NH Audubon office would like to talk to Catherine, the phone number is 795-4850.
