Monday's early am paddle on Grafton pond had 3 families of loons 5 babies in all. Kingbirds, mallard, hooded merg, woodduck, snapping turtles.

Thursday's paddle on McDaniel's Marsh (end of Bog Road enfield) Wood duck, Great Blue Herons, hoodies, cedar waxwings, kingbirds
Today's walk to work a pair of pileated woodpeckers crossed my path on the dhmc loop road and 2 hoodies on the pond. One male redwing defends his territory every morning along the fenceline above the pond. He has bad feather lice on his head and is partially bald...pretty funny looking guy.
