Here is an opportunity to be involved in preserving the present Windsor Prison Lands for the birds.

There will be a meeting of interested parties on June 11 from 10-12 noon at 3 Railroad Ave (across from the Depot Restaurant) in Windsor. Recently this parcel has yielded both blue-winged and golden-winged warblers. With enough support it is hoped the land can continue to be a reserve for non-game birds within easy reach of many here in the upper valley.

Prior to the meeting there will be a bird walk on the land beginning at 6 am on 11-June. Anyone interested in attending the bird walk is asked to contact Phil Morgan at [log in to unmask] The bird walk will begin at the entrance to Paradise Park on County Road (across from Mt Ascutney Hospital) in Windsor.

Anyone interested in keeping bird habitat in the area is urged to attend this meeting.
