I am trying to use this very useful and powerful command. It is very good -- but unfortunately, it does not delete files in the destination folder, when the corresponding files are deleted in the source folder. I am writing another laborious perl script to do this part of the work...

It would help so much if "backup" in satimage scripting addition could do that...
