LECTURER OR SENIOR LECTURER IN INDONESIAN STUDIES

Salary: $80,318 - $95,375 (Level B) or $98,387 - $113,446 (Level C) plus 17%
superannuation. Level of appointment is subject to qualifications and
experience. 

The Asia Institute promotes study of the rich languages, intellectual,
cultural, political and religious traditions of Asia and of the Islamic
world, and their contemporary manifestations. The Indonesian Program is one
of six programs offered by the Asia Institute.

You will contribute to overall teaching and research excellence, curriculum
development, develop, teach and coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate
subjects, and supervise research candidates. You will be engaged in all
aspects of teaching - preparation of subject materials, conducting lectures
and tutorials, supervising tutors, consulting with students, undertaking
related assessment, and attending meetings as required.

You will also bring a recognised research profile to the position and be
expected to continue building research capacity in Indonesian Program and
other related program areas including the Asian Studies Program through
their own research contributions and the supervision of honours and
postgraduate students.
