Hi Edie

Thanks very much for your effort in putting this list together and for
adding WebSwami.

I'd just like to mention that WebSwami has a great deal of features (a
number of them unique) that are missing from our listing including, but not
limited to:

1. A full multimedia matching activity (text, image, audio and video matching).
2. A voice-graph with both amplitude and pitch voice-graph for comparative
analysis of stress, rhythm and intonation over the internet.
3. Extensive audio/video/webcam tools for activity authoring, student
interactivity, and teacher feedback.
4. Real-time test management (live control of student view) on-campus or
over the internet.
5. Over 10 activity formats that integrate audio/video recording and uploading.
6. Colour-coded status report of student answers to visually gauge class
progress instantly.
7. Assessments broken down into section scores for analysis of
strengths/weaknesses across grouped topics/skills, all exportable to Excel.
8. Prioritized task list to centralize assignment tracking, to reduce hours
of admin/navigation when faced with grading hundreds of students on
different levels, courses, classes and enrolment dates.
9. Sharing of student recordings (peer review and collaborative learning).
10. Moodle version has Gradebook integration, roles/permission customizing,
and Marker view of course groups for easy grading.
11. Comprehensive Online Multimedia libraries, Question Bank, and Lesson
Bank management.
12. WebSwami 2.1 (Jul-Aug release) will be compatible with an additional 10+
LMS including Blackboard, Sakai, Desire2Learn etc..

In short WebSwami is a very complete and sophisticated language teaching and
authoring system and we have an extensive and detailed development roadmap
to ensure that we stay at the forefront of language instructional technology
for years to come.

We’re running our next “Introduction to WebSwami” webinar on Thursday 9th
June at 11am EST and we’d very much like to invite LLTI colleagues to join
us to see what our system has to offer. Please email me at [log in to unmask]
to reserve your place or if you have any questions.

Best regards

Peter Day
