Welcome to CnT!

To sign up for any trip, blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number (make  
sure you have money in your account!) or saying you'd like to pay in cash.  Your  
spot will be reserved once you pay.  If the trip is free, just blitz the leader  
to reserve a spot.

If you're interested in becoming a DOC Member, please see Julie Bell in Robo.  
  You'll get discounted trips and lots of other perks.

What: FEED: Featuring Special Guest: Professor Jon Kull and Family!
When: 6:30 pm
Where: The Rock (16 Sargent Street)
Cost: $4 or free if you help cook.
Details: Jon Kull '81 is coming to the feed this week. He's an awesome alum
who now teaches Biochemistry at Dartmouth. He used to be a big-time chubber
back in his undergrad days and even was on the summer crew that helped build
Stoddard Cabin up in the Second College Grant. He'll be joining us (along
with his 2 six-year old daughters and wife, Angela) for the feed this week.
I'll be cooking a delicious vegetarian meal, so come join us. He's
definitely one of my top three profs at Dartmouth so y'all should come chill
with us.

Where: Behind the Rock and Grandma's House (18 Sargent St)
Cost: Small bills for elixer. Free for water.

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

Event: Presidential Traverse! - Hard Or Long Yet Spectacular Hikes In The Spring
Time: 5pm Fri. May 20th - 10pm Sat. May 21th
Cost: $15 for DOC members, $17 otherwise
Description: We will be spending Friday night in Billings Cabin and then waking  
up early to go on a strenuous 22 mile hike across all of the major peaks in the  
Presidential Range.  Hiking experience and good fitness are necessary. We will  
(weather permitting) be summitting many of the tallest mountains in New Hampshire  
all in one epic hike!

Mt. Jefferson Hike
When: departing either 8pm on friday or 6:30 on saturday, back by 8pm on saturday
Difficulty: strenuous
Description: Mt. Jefferson is the third tallest mountain in the state and one  
of the less visited high peaks. well above treeline, the summit offers a spectacular  
and unique view, while the hike is varied including lovely forests and scrambles  
over the rock formations known as the castles. This will be a long hike (over  
ten miles) with over 4,000  feet of elevation gain, so be prepared. Coleader position  
is available.

being an overnight or a long day trip.


SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY

Event: Gardening at the Lodge!
Time: 11:00 am ~8:30 pm
Cost: free!  (but bring money for dinner)
Description / Difficulty level: Come help build a garden at the Lodge!  Dig your  
hands in the dirt, breathe the fresh air, and finish up the beautiful day with  
a delicious homemade dinner by the spring Lodge crew!

Event: Orienteering!
Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday
Cost: FREE
Description: Ever wanted to find your way around the wilderness with naught but  
a compass and map? Come to orienteering this Saturday! We'll wander around the  
woods for a while, making our way to different points on the map. Lunch and snacks  
provided for free, and guaranteed to be totally awesome! Make the most of your  
Saturday and learn some useful skills while having tons of fun!
