Everyone,

CALICO 2011 at the University of Victoria is coming up in 2 weeks. Once again we plan on webcasting the opening keynote address on Thursday May 19th starting at 9 am Pacific time (noon Eastern time, 1600 UTC). The live webcast of Bryan Smith's keynote will be available at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/calicosymposium2011 and a recording of the keynote will be available on-line shortly after the talk is completed. If there are technical difficulties with the live stream, we will be recording the talk locally and will digitize the tape and upload it later.

In addition to the keynote, we will also broadcast Joy Egbert's Banquet speech on Friday May 20th starting 7:45 pm Pacific time (10:45 pm Eastern time, 0245 Saturday UTC).

We have set-up a Twitter account CALICOSymposium and we will be using the hashtag #calico11 for announcements.

We hope that those of you who will be attending will tweet from the sessions for those who are unable to attend. You are encouraged to use the #calico11 hashtag so everyone can follow what is happening.

See you in Victoria or on-line,

Marc Siskin
