I have a Xerox 6300 which is a laser printer, not a wax ink printer
like yours, but I expect the print drivers are the same. You don't
need to install any software. The necessary print drivers are built
into OS X (unless you elected to do a custom install of OS X without
the print drivers).
In System Prefs > Print & Fax, after you click the + button to add a
printer, is your printer listed in the Add Printer window? It should
automatically select the driver for your printer model in the Print
Using popup.
