Barred Owls that hang around feeders probably aren't interested in 
the little birds, but in the mice and voles which are attracted to 
the seeds that spill from the feeders. If the snow is not too deep, 
owls can hear the critters and perhaps see the ridges of their 
tunnels as they burrow.
