Yesterday (Saturday) we had a Barred Owl hanging around the area (West
Norwich/Tigertown Rd.) all day- first spotted around 8:30 AM. It seemed
sleepy and un-ruffled by attacks by Blue Jays and our outdoor efforts to
take photos. A delivery truck scared it off , and the driver said he'd seen
"a lot" of Barred Owls in the area. We later found it again down the road
about 1/4 mile.

Other birds here were the usual daily visitors here:

Blue Jay 8
Tufted Titmouse 1
Chickadee 6
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
Red-breasted Nuthatch 1M 1F- (one paler red, assumed female)
Downy Woodpecker 1 M
Hairy Woodpecker 1M 1F
