Dear Kino,

Thank you for this information. I will certainly do what you suggested and then report. In the year 2009 I installed cocoAspell package under Tiger with dictionaries from here <ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/0index.html>

cocoAspell was very flaky under OS 10.4.11, it worked for a few days then stopped working. I installed it again and again it stopped working after few days so I abandoned it in the end altogether.

Right now I'm trying to fix some minor problems with my new MacBook Pro. For example I wanted to unsubscribe from some mailing lists I had subscribed to when still running Tiger and which now keep cluttering up my hard drive. I can't unsubscribe because I always get an error message saying

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<…>
(reason: 554 5.7.1 The message from (<[log in to unmask]>) with the subject of (unsubscribe) matches a profile the Internet community may consider spam. Please revise your message before resending.)

The list owners do not reply. I guess I'll have to unsubscribe from the old computer. What a mess.
