That's an interesting issue, but somewhat separate from copyright--though it does  
involve intellectual property, the more important legal principal right now might  
be student privacy.
Sangeetha has submitted a proposal for IALLT 2011, but this issue was not touched  
on. The official deadline was last Friday, but the tab for submitting one is still  
open and looks functional on the website. Maybe you should submit a proposal too  
and let the organizers figure out if it belongs with the copyright  panel or maybe  
in a session just before or after it in the same room <grin>. I would like to  
hear more on the topic.
