*Blackboard Support Specialist*
American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is looking for a
Blackboard Support Specialist in a newly installed Blackboard 9.1 environment
providing advanced instructional technology support. Specialist will assist in
course development and advise lesson plan designs using the latest Bb tools. Other
duties include staff development/mentoring, trouble-shooting, courseware development,
content migration, and interfacing with Blackboard vendor for problem resolution
and system repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support for a Blackboard (Bb) learning management system
and to support the Bb users, including training, technical support, documentation
and assisting in course designs.
REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in a computer-related field
or foreign language and two years of experience in Blackboard for language learning
required. Experience in Wimba and Elluminate a plus.
CONTRACT: Contract price commensurate with experience. This is a short-term contract
position ending on 9/30/2011. Work can be done at home, but occasional travel
is required.
ESTIMATED HOURS: 60-100 hours per month
