We set up the Mixxer for this purpose at Dickinson College and do regular exchanges
with our classes. Students can find partners for language exchanges on their
own, or you can organize exchanges for an entire class. There are about 50,000
users in the Mixxer now, and English is a very sought after language, so they
shouldn't have any trouble finding partners. Depending on the language and time
zone, it's usually pretty easy to organize exchanges for entire classes as well.
You can sign up here to check it out, www.language-exchanges.org. Once you do,
send me an email at [log in to unmask] and I will give you teacher privileges.
This will give you permission to create the class events and view the tutorials.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Todd
