Job Description: Coordinates efforts to ensure that information systems support
departmental objectives and information management needs. Supports efforts to
ensure that information systems upholds overall organizational mission and
objectives. Works closely with departmental customers to conduct business
analysis and identify business objectives and requirements. Assists in the
development of technology plans and strategies. Coordinates the planning and
implementation of systems related projects. Maintains a high level of client
satisfaction with Information Services as provided to assigned clients.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in
planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions
OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Applied Linguistics, Second
Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Pedagogy, or Language Instructional
Technology; experience with coordinating technical needs of a university
language center or technology resources for language faculty and students;
expertise in providing technology consultation to foreign language faculty in
teaching and research; fluency in a second language.

Additional Job Details:

        * Provides direction and coordination for all technical needs and
activities of the Emory College Language Center.
        * Consults with language faculty on technology use and best practices in
the area of language technology and pedagogy for the 19 languages taught at
Emory.
        * Works closely with the faculty director of the Language Center on
Language Center directions, technology needs of language faculty, and community
outreach.
        * Acts as a Language Center information resource for all Emory
University faculty, staff, students.
        * Works with Language Center Technology Coordinator to support
technology facilities and resources for language faculty, students, and staff.
        * Provides outreach and support to Emory professional schools using the
services and resources of the Language Center.
        * Assists the staff and faculty director of the Structured Independent
Language Study Program at Emory (SILS) with needed logistics and resources.
        * Conducts technology training workshops for Emory language faculty.
        * Assists in technology training workshops in ECIT as a member of the
Academic Technologies: Faculty Services team.
        * Conducts other work of University Technology Services and Academic
Technology Services as required.
