You could set up a timed script to run on the PC using script triggers:

1. A script on the Mac sets the value of a field as a flag, eg,
UpdateInventory = 1. The field UpdateInventory can't be a global.

2. The timed script on the PC checks if UpdateInventory = 1 and if so,
does the QuickBooks functions and resets UpdateInventory to 0.

So the timed PC script would have to run pretty often so there's not
too much time lag, and you have to deal with the issue of what to do
when the PC FileMaker is being used by someone.
