All,

I have an inquiry from a professor of Chinese art history who would like
to buy an electronic dictionary for Chinese. Are any of you familiar with
handheld Chinese electronic dictionaries? If so, would you be able to
recommend one that does both traditional and simplified characters,
handwriting recognition of characters, and has a good Chinese to Chinese
dictionary for specialized terms? This professor is also interested in
getting Chinese optical character recognition software, and is wondering
if there are any good Chinese to English translation tools that she could
use to do a first draft translation of some of her art history texts.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Sarah
