Friends,
Over the years there have been various attempts at making easy-to-use programs
for presentation of a foreign language text with on-screen glosses. Annotext
comes to mind.
I now have a set of texts in Nepali along with word lists and glosses of about
3000 words. We would like to present these texts online and enable users to
select or hover over a word and see the gloss (and sometimes comments). Do you
know of any current programs that would allow us to do this fairly easily?
In the old days we probably would have hired a proficient student javascript
programmer and had him/her write presentation and user interface for this, but
our budget cuts make this hard now. And why reinvent the code?
Thanks,
Dick Feldman, Director
