If you would like to get more involved in creating your own trips, come to
leader meeting at 9:30 on Mondays, or blitz in with ideas.

Trail Work Day: 10:00-3:30 With the Thompson Family and Guests
Summit Hike: 3:30-6:00 All invited!

Dinertoure! Eaton Sugar House, South Royalton Vermont
Leave at 7:15 AM from Roback (Get back before 10As) 
Eat in Eaton Sugarhouse this Thursday, known for "the best pancakes in the
state",  
a country store, and a sugarhouse.  Hopefully we'll get back with enough time  
for you to brush your teeth*!

Bike and Swim!
When: Leaving 5:30 pm (return time negotiable)
Cost: Free (even if you rent a bike!)
Where: meet behind Robo, we'll bike to Boston Lot about 15 minutes away and take
a dip!

*The Return of Farmers' Marketoure*
Where: Lebanon, NH
When: Thursday
Leave: 5:45 pm
Back: 7:15 pm
Cost: as much as you want to spend on local goodness
This week we will drive to the Farmers' Market in Lebanon, NH where we'll be
seranaded by the musical stylings of Loose Cannons (Acoustic, Blues, Country,
Jazz and Old Fashioned Rock).  We'll have fun while supporting local
agriculture.  Expose your tastebuds to some Upper Valley flavor - you won't
regret it!

SATURDAY SATURDAY SATURDAY

Bond Cliffs and Franconia Falls
Saturday: 8AM-8PM
Come see the Bond Cliffs and go swimming in the falls! This is a long day of
somewhat strenuous hiking with incredible views.  We'll have lunch and snacks.
The trail goes along an old railroad track for the first half, then starts
upward.  The views above treeline are spectacular.
Cost: $7 DOC; $9 non-DOC

*Arethusa and Ripley Falls*
When: Saturday
Leave: 8 am
Back: 6 pm
Cost: $7 DOC member/ $9 non-DOC
Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
We'll drive ~2 hrs to the Crawford Notch area of the White Mountains.  We will
then hike a trail that goes past two of NH's highest waterfalls - Arethusa and
Ripley - as well as Frankenstein Cliffs!!!  We can swim at the base of the
falls, enjoy epic views of Crawford Notch, and eat delicious things.  Lunch and
snacks included along with good times.

THE FUTURE  THE FUTURE  THE FUTURE 

InterDOC trip to Maine
A cooperative effort between the DMC, Ledyard, CnT and other clubs to experience
a something new on an extended trip with lots of options. Scheduled
for the weekend of August 7th at Acadia State Park.

Washington Portage
This is a traditional summer trip that involves carrying a canoe to the top of
New Englands tallest mountain to paddle in Lake of the Clouds. More details to
come.

Lodge Prom
Ask your summer love to the DOC Formal on August 23rd, at the famed Moosilauke
Ravine Lodge.
