Sat am Lelia and birded SB. Off the elbow of Cape Cod. Adjacent to Monomoy
NWF.
If you have not been there.... and are near CC, it is a must. Besides
being gorgeous !! There are spectacular birds.

Now our birds were a bit quiet... the tween of migration. Ah, but better
to be there than in traffic.

Highlights: 3 Am Oystercatchers, 1 Snowy Egret, 1 Dowitcher sp flying, 2
Sanderlings, 40 Semi-palm Sandpipers, ~ 40 Ruddy Turnstones,

~40 Black-bellied Plovers, ~10 Am olden Plovers, ~10 Willets, Common
Terns~100's (just coming in....they nest in the thousands!!),

6 Piping Plovers, ~10 Savannah Sparrows, 2 Horned Larks (see and
singing).....and ~400 No Atlantic Gray Seals, on the beach with us..plus
many in the water.

Keith Lincoln and his "Rip Ryder" boat service is our great access birding
service. They also do seal tours, and drop off fishermen.

July and August/Sept are special for all the migrants. Thousands !!

happy days

Bill S
