Postgraduate Researcher in Head Impact Biomechanics
Employer: Simbex

Position Description:

Simbex is currently seeking a post-graduate/post-doctoral researcher to
assist in our ongoing studies (NIH and NOCSAE) of mild traumatic brain
injury (mTBI). Our company and collaborative research partners are uniquely
positioned to understand mTBI using a multi-disciplinary approach
encompassing real-time on-field measures of head acceleration (HIT System),
neural imaging (e.g., fMRI, DTI), neurocognitive testing, and on-field
symptomotology. The long-term goal of our research is to understand the
pathomechanics and clinical sequelae of mTBI, enabling translational
research and development of new clinical and therapeutic techniques to
reduce the incidence and negative effects of mTBI. Our research to date has
collected over 1 million on over 1000 individuals across football, hockey,
boxing, skiing, soccer, and equestrian.
