A few of us didn't get the notice of cancellation of this trip. We're
glad we didn't! It was mostly cloudy and cool, 40 degrees, with no wind.

This is what we saw and/or heard:

mallard
common grackle
american goldfinch
ovenbird
northern cardinal
white-throated sparrow
northern flicker
mourning dove
black-throated blue warbler
northern parula
pine warbler
common yellowthroat
hermit thrush
white-breasted nuthatch
least flycatcher
american robin
black-throated green warbler
yellow-bellied sapsucker
chestnut-sided warbler
brown creeper
american crow
winter wren
black-capped chickadee
blackburnian warbler
tree swallow
blue jay
song sparrow
eastern phoebe
wilson's warbler
american redstart
kingbird
house wren
red-winged blackbird
purple finch
baltimore oriole
great crested flycatcher

Not bad, eh?
Pip Richens
