Energy Engineer

The Cadmus Group is a dynamic, innovative consulting firm looking for energy engineers to join our Energy Services team.  The Energy Services Group is a national leader in energy efficiency services, providing management advice to public and private clients related to energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, feasibility studies, and energy efficiency standard setting.

Responsibilities include:
-       Provide technical analysis and engineering judgment to interdisciplinary energy efficiency projects.
-       Analyze equipment, building systems, and buildings, to determine energy savings from various modifications.
-       Write high quality reports to clients, including actionable recommendations.
-       Work independently to manage research projects and participate in research efforts.
-       Promote Cadmus's reputation through contributions to conference paper submissions and presentations.

Required Skills:
-       Bachelor or Masters Degree in mechanical, electrical, or power systems engineering or related field.
-       Strong understanding of building systems including boilers, chillers, and ventilation equipment.
-       5-15 years work experience in energy efficiency engineering or building systems, preferably for an engineering organization.
-       Familiarity with residential / commercial building energy efficiency measures.
-       Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities with strong communication and writing skills.
-       Demonstrated initiative in problem solving methods and engineering analysis capabilities.
-       Willingness to travel domestically.
-       Strong desire to learn and grow.

Preferred Skills:
-       Knowledge of building systems and controls.
-       Experience with energy simulation tools (such as ENERGY-10, eQUEST, EnergyPro, or equivalent).
-       Familiarity with utility efficiency programs.
-       A PE license.
