AFAIK Wii games by any major publisher (is that the word for
game-producing /releasing companies?) will be region coded. I did quite
a bit of research not work-related to get a game as a present for a
friend with a Wii. So there may be educational or language-related games
that are exceptions to that rule. Also there might be a hack to
region-free your Wii? If you want to go there.

The US release of Fifa10 (for example) doesn't allow you to switch
languages of the game interface, but it does come with Mexican or
British announcer choices. (At least for PS3 - that's 20min to1hr of
input anyhow. Sorta.)

PS3s are region free - but I had to change the cabling to get my TV to
understand the PS3 signal when playing PAL format games. Older TVs might
not do it at all.

Feel free to write off-list if you want more info.
