I had received a bill in September, too, but had managed to set our
account up AGAIN for an annual payment of the receiver fees. (I've gone
through this several times, and it is very time consuming each time)
DISHnet did get it straightened out by the November billing, as they'd
promised.

Last Friday I received the letter about the changes. And yesterday I
received a paultry charge for March, due by March 3. If I fail to pay,
there will be a late charge. There could be a reconnect charge if they
decide to disconnect me for failure to pay.

The thing is, I've already paid the receiver fees for an entire year.
You can select something called AutoPay, but I have already paid. I do
not trust that company to handle something like this, using a credit
card number.

I called DISH Net again: the auto recording I heard while I waited to
speak
with someone informed me that we owed $31 on March 3, 2010... We are
paid up
through September 25, 2010. So I had yet another conversation with an
operator there, who "fixed" it, saying it was something that had to do
with
the "new system", but confirmed to me that we were paid up through Sept.
25th. She claimed to know nothing about this letter we all just got,
stating
that the international packages are still billed annually, but that our
receiver fees are monthly because, in order to get the educational
discount,
our "profile" in their system must be set to "monthly" (annual
subscription
prices for DISH Latino: $200/educational vs. $420/commercial). She said
that she couldn't change our receiver fee billing to annually now,
because
that would set the annual billing cycle to today, instead of September
25th,
and again seemed to think that would be possible, if I called on
September
25th.
