An American Robin flew across Route 5 just to the south of the
intersection with Hopson Road in Norwich this afternoon.

This was my first sighting of a robin in Norwich in this calendar
year. In many recent winters robins have been more frequent in Norwich
than so far in the present winter. My most recent sighting in Norwich
before today was of one individual on November 30, 2009.

George
