Shane,

I have no intention of getting into any tedious "my language is better
than yours" stupidity.

I was simply sharing my enthusiasm for the results I have been achieving
with JavaScript, with no intention of denigrating AppleScript or
AppleScripters.

I'm finding AppleScript is most useful at the moment for leaping about
from application to application and am most certainly not abandoning it!

After reading:

> "Are you sure about that? Seems to me it's going to miss any grouped or
anchored frames."

... I naturally went straight to InDesign and put text frames into groups
with a variety of objects, including underscores and graphics. I even
tossed a fiver into an anchored text frame.

All the text frames were found, using the line I gave in my previous
posting, and the conversions were carried out. For some obscure reason the
anchored box shot about 10 centimeters down the page, but allowed me to
drag it back into position.

All the best

Chris
