This morning in East Thetford, VT, a flock of roughly 50 Snow Buntings
was along Pavillion Road to the south of the Cedar Circle Farm
buildings.
Here in Norwich village today, highlights among 13 species at the
backyard feeding station were an American Tree Sparrow and a male Red-
winged Blackbird. Both these species (and possibly the same
individuals) have been visiting this feeding station in recent days
this month.
Numbers so far this month of White-throated Sparrows at this Norwich
feeding station have been higher than expected when compared with the
same month in recent years. Today's high count here was 5 White-
throated Sparrows, but there have been flocks with as many as 10 white-
throats here this month, as on December 14 and 15.
