The deadline for proposal submissions for the MAALLT - SEALLT 2010  
Joint Conference has been extended to

*Sunday, December 6, 2009*

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who have  
already submitted. If you were unable to meet the original deadline,  
you still have time to submit a proposal! Please visit the conference  
website at: www.maallt.org and follow the 'Submit a proposal' link  
under the 2010 Conference Info section.

  Our Changing Environments: Cultivating New Spaces, Tools, and Ideas  
in Language Learning
Hosted by the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship at  
Georgetown University in Washington, DC
March 10 - 13, 2010
Keynote speaker: Dr. Randy Bass, Director of the Center for New  
Designs in Learning and Scholarship and Assistant Provost for  
Teaching and Learning Initiatives at Georgetown University.

Detailed information about registration fees and deadlines, travel,  
and lodging is now available on our web site. Please visit  
www.maallt.org.

We will be offering a series of pre-conference workshops on  
Wednesday, March 10th for only $15! The wide range of topics include  
Web 2.0 tools for the language classroom (course blogs and wikis,  
Twitter, Facebook), student posters and portfolios, lecture capture  
tools and pedagogies, learning space design, virtual worlds and  
immersion for the language classroom, inclusive and "mindful"  
teaching, mobile learning. More details about specific sessions and  
registration are forthcoming.

We are also happy to announce our collaboration with the Georgetown  
University Round Table on Linguistics (GURT) conference to be held  
from March 12-14. All MAALLT-SEALLT attendees are welcome to attend  
GURT conference sessions for free! We also plan on sharing an  
exhibition space and on hosting a meet-and-greet reception with GURT  
participants to promote interaction among attendees.
