Occidental College is pleased to announce the following position:


INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIST                    #09-250
Center for Digital Learning and Research

Occidental College is seeking an experienced Instructional Technologist who
will assist the College in realizing its digital scholarship vision by
planning for and providing 21st century academic technology support.
Reporting to the Director of the Center for Digital Learning and Research,
the ideal candidate will implement programs and services for faculty and
students that stimulate the creative and innovative use of assorted
technologies (multimedia, web 2.0, e-publishing, LMS, etc.) across the full
spectrum of instruction, learning, content creation, research and
co-curricular student life.  If you are a dynamic change-agent with a
demonstrated passion and aptitude for using technology as well as exploiting
its potential to reshape scholarship, please apply.  A Master's degree,
preferably in Instructional Technology or Design, is required.  Candidates
must also possess knowledge of learning theory, pedagogical practices,
learning resources and instructional technology tools and practices;
demonstrated experience integrating technology in higher education with
teaching, learning, or research environments; and at least three years of
progressively responsible experience with learning technologies and
management of staff or students and technology resources.
