Thank you all for your kind remarks, but please remember that this list is YOUR
list and it is YOU who have made this list a success! And now I am more than
just a little embarrassed to post the comments below.

As some of you know, llti has been coming to you from China for the last two
months where I am involved in a huge software project to improve listening
comprehension and speaking ability of Chinese students of English. I will report
on this when I get back to the US. If all goes well, I will demo it at the next
IALLT Conference in two years.

I'll second that, Derek. Thanks Otmar for your many years of living,
breathing, and fixing LLTI.
In case it is not common knowledge, Otmar was awarded a Lifetime
Achievement Award, along with Ed Dente and Peter Liddell, at the
recent IALLT conference in Atlanta. Otmar was not present, though,
since he is now in China, continuing his work in language technology.
The man never rests.

And add to that a congratulations on the Lifetime Achievement Award that
was given to Otmar at the IALLT conference last week!

Thanks for all that you do and have done, Otmar!

Well said Derek. I would like to add my thanks and recognition for
Otmar and his hard work. It has been close to a decade that I have
been a member of LLTI and could not imagine doing my work without it.
Thank you Otmar.

Hear Hear -- thanks for pointing this out, Derek (and, btw, you yourself have
been a great source of help and info for many of us on this list over the last
few years). But also many thanks to Otmar who runs this list which keeps us
connected as a community. Congratulations on your "IALLT Lifetime Achievement
Award" -- too bad you could not make it to Atlanta, you were in our thoughts
and sorely missed.

All the best, Jorg
