Ruth,

I'm sure the whole IALLT community is sorry and concerned about the 
bad news. Could you share with us the details, e.g., the reasons for 
closing the LLARC (e.g., budget, changes in foreign language 
requirements, etc.), any initiatives or efforts from any department 
at MIT to prevent this from happening, and more importantly, what 
will happen with you and your crew (will you be reassigned to other 
units on campus)?
