Hello,

In our Italian area we are considering switching to a digital workbook for basic
courses (first three semesters of Italian) instead of the print version.

Does anyone have experience with using digital workbooks? What pros and cons
have you noticed going digital as opposed to print versions?

Specifically, we would like to adopt Avanti 2nd edition (McGraw-Hill). Has
anyone used the digital workbook for Avanti (1st edition since the second is not
completely online yet)? How did it work in your courses? What was the response
of the faculty? What training issues did you find? How did students respond to
using a digital workbook versus a print edition?

Also, could anyone point me to some literature on the use of digital workbooks?
I would like to be proactive and avoid possible pitfalls that others might have
experienced.

Thank you in advance for any help. It's the first time I use this listserve.

Best regards,
Laura
