You are lucky to be 100% staff as oppose to being split between teaching
and operational duties. Most 4 years schools require the lab manager to
have a masters degree in a language so they can assist in teaching one
or two classes.

I have started teaching the past couple of years, but in the summer 
(when the lab activity gets very very slow). I would like to be able to 
teach during the semester but my schedule is so variable with various 
lab activities that I am not sure I could do it.
