We came close to leasing a couple of times with Apple. Their terms
were quite good, and our sales rep was very open about the costs and
trade-offs. In the end, each time, we bought out-right, instead of
leasing, because we had the needed money on in our account. Leasing,
which would have spread the payment over three years, was not really
supported by our accounting system. Leaving the money in our account
for the following years put us at risk that the money would have been
swept back into the general fund. If we had only had sufficient funds
for 10 computers (for example), leasing would have let us install 30
immediately and pay for them with recurring funds.

At that time, the cost of leasing/financing was very modest. Our
current era might be similar, with vendors eager to make sales however
they can. This might mean great leasing terms, and it might also mean
sizeable discounts on out-right purchase. The latter could make the
lease less of a bargain.
